Delta Pure Wound Cartridge Filters for Sediment Wound cartridge filters have been the filters of choice for a wide range of applications for decades. Wound cartridges offer true depth filtration for high dirt holding capacity and extremely low media migration. They are available in an almost endless combination of media and core types to handle virtually any chemical environment or temperature. All wound cartridges are nominally rated (as opposed to an absolute rating, as in a membrane filter) and each manufacturer rates their own filters. As such, it is sometimes difficult to compare filters from different manufacturers. In fact, our testing has shown quite a bit of inconsistency even among filters from the same manufacturer.
