Series 550 Duplex

A duplex basket strainer can operate continuously and never needs to be shut down for cleaning. When one basket requires service, flow is switched to the other using the patented Fluid Engineering rising stem/soft seat plug valve. This exclusive design offers a leak free seal. The upper and lower tapered portion of the plug are separated by a straight section which houses an oring seal so that there is continuous separation between the dirty fluids and the filtered fluids. The flow is diverted with the use of a bi-directional ratchet assembly that is designed to lift and lower the plug valve from the internal sealing surfaces. With no metal to metal contact, the sealing surfaces and operation of this unit is superior to our competitors designs.
